Founder
Robert brings a unique combination of trade expertise and digital knowledge to fire door compliance. As a qualified joiner with a background in property investment and BIM (Building Information Modelling), he saw firsthand how the industry was failing property managers and building owners.
As a property investor who converted multiple properties into HMOs and apartments across the North West, Robert experienced fire door inspection failures firsthand — failed inspections, costly remedial work, and tenants delayed from moving in. That experience as a responsible person gives ADS a perspective most fire door contractors simply don't have.
Before retraining as a joiner, Robert spent several years as a BIM professional — working with firms including Parsons Brinckerhoff on complex building projects, earning Autodesk Certified Revit Professional status, and developing expertise in digital building documentation and the Golden Thread. That background means ADS doesn't just inspect fire doors — we document them to a standard most contractors can't match.
